Data Deletion Instructions

This page explains how to revoke access for social media accounts connected to Sooci and how to request deletion of your personal data. For general practices, see the Privacy Policy page.

1. Disconnect in Sooci (recommended, immediate)

If you are signed in:

1. Sign in via sooci.net
2. Go to the Channels section
3. Use disconnect next to the account you want to remove (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, X, TikTok)

This deletes the related access tokens from the Sooci database and cancels scheduled posts for that channel. Content previously published on the platform remains on your account; only Sooci’s access ends.

2. Meta (Facebook / Instagram) — remove app permission

• Facebook: Settings → Apps and websites → Sooci → Remove
• Instagram: Revoke Sooci access from connected apps / business permissions via your Meta account

When you remove the app, Meta may automatically notify our Data Deletion Callback URL. Sooci channel records matching your Facebook user ID are deleted and a confirmation code is generated for you (Section 4).

3. Removing Sooci access on other platforms

You can also remove Sooci from the account or app settings of the relevant platform:

• X: Settings → Security and account access → Apps and sessions → Remove Sooci
• LinkedIn: Settings → Data privacy → Third-party apps → Remove Sooci
• Google / YouTube: Google Account → Third-party app access → Remove Sooci
• TikTok: Revoke Sooci from connected apps / authorizations in the TikTok app or developer portal

These steps end the OAuth permission on the platform side. To also delete tokens in Sooci, we recommend using disconnect in Section 1.

4. Check Meta data deletion status

After a Meta deletion, you can check status with the link or confirmation code provided to you:

5. Full Sooci account deletion

If you want all your data on the platform (profile, post drafts, media, all tokens) permanently deleted:

• From your registered email address, send an email with the subject “Account deletion request” to privacy@sooci.net
• For identity verification, send the request only from the email registered to your account
• Requests are processed within 30 days; you will be notified when deletion is complete

6. Technical — Meta callback URLs

URLs registered in the Meta Developer Console:

• Data deletion callback: https://sooci.net/webhooks/meta/data-deletion (POST)
• Deauthorize callback: https://sooci.net/webhooks/meta/deauthorize (POST)

These endpoints are called only from Meta servers; browser GET access is not expected.

7. Contact
